Moms give their children many things: food, shelter, advice, comfort, birthday presents, etc.. But the greatest gift a mom can give is herself. It is the same way with the Holy Spirit. This Spirit gives us many gifts and fruit such as love, joy, peace, faith, miracles, etc.. But the greatest gift is the Spirit itself – God living in us.

Being a Christian is less about knowing facts about Jesus and more about growing to be like Jesus.

The new 5G cellular networks are supposed to transform our lives. Really…? The bible has a 5G plan that truly will transform our lives if we sign up for it. And as we understand Jesus we understand God, for Jesus is God.

God doesn’t settle for good enough. God gives more–the Resurrection of Christ and the promise of our resurrection.

Jesus brings a lot of happiness. But following Jesus also leads to doing things that aren’t all fun and games.

When we seek to eliminate our worries by controlling others it leads to disaster.

We can’t hide anything from God, so let’s be honest with God. With everything. It’s good. And it’s enough.

First rule of preaching: Nobody comes to church with a burning desire to find out what happened to the Amalekites. People come to hear something about God and to help deal with their own life. So, though this sermon is about lepers, it’s just a way to learn something about God and our own lives. And another way to have a good enough Lent.

There are lots of “L” words that make life difficult, but Jesus is all about another one – Life.

There’s a reasonable way to spend Lent that works for God.
